The Bible, the Word of God by Richard Roberts

And He’ll make this a concept which is a way of life. You’ll start living the thousand times blessing as a way of life. If somebody jumps on you, just read Deuteronomy 1:11, and Galatians 3:29 and let them worry about it. You just take the Bible, the Word of God.

And I call, I call that which you don’t have as if you had it right now. I feel there are things lodged, they are tied up and you can’t get them loose. I call them loosed. (Response)

RR: And I set my faith in agreement with this Word. This Word has been deposited in our hearts. With this pronouncement, we take it into our being and we are going to act like it’s already so in the authority of the name of Jesus. I come against this satanic attack of sickness and disease and fear and doubt and even a poverty syndrome. In Jesus’ name, I rebuke it now. In the authority of the name of Jesus, you foul, tormenting thing, you loose your grip and you never return. (Response) And it is leaving in the name of Jesus. And I agree.

MH: There’s a new level of faith coming, and the Lord has spoken to me just a moment ago here that we’re going to have to have faith for the new millennium to build auditoriums and churches for 50,000 and 100,000, like we build for 500 and 1,000 for this generation. A new faith is coming. We need more land. We need hundred millions like we have believed for a million.

The numbers you heard Brother Roberts talk about tonight, $55 a week, that’s all in a generation. That’s where we’ve come. So that means that our kids are going to need faith to build churches for 100,000 like we’ve had faith to build them for 1,000. So we’ve got to launch this tonight. No limits! How many of you are ready to take the limits off tonight? (Response) Come on, let’s believe God.

In the name of Jesus, we declare it and decree it, that the promise and the blessing of Abraham be upon us a thousand times more. And we call in the land by the acres by the hundreds of acres, and the money by the millions and the hundreds of millions to do the great work of the last day harvest, in the name of Jesus. And we agree together that it be done. Amen. Amen. (Response)

OR: Let everybody praise the Lord. (Response)

BJD: Go ahead and shout to the Lord. (Response) Hallelujah! Turn it loose. Let’s pray for each other. Turn it loose right now. The power of God’s in you, the anointing of God, deliverance of God. Let’s capture it. Let’s release it. (Tongues) That’s it. Pray for the person beside you, ones in front of you. We’re calling forth prosperity.

Healing ministry by Richard Roberts

And I said, “Well, Lord, I’ve been a tither ever since I’ve been saved, and You’ve never given me blessings enough that I couldn’t contain them. In fact, Lord, I’ve tithed at times I wished I hadn’t. I’ve given in churches that I felt like they used a stomach pump on me in order to take the offering. I mean, I wished I hadn’t given.”

And you know how you and the Lord talk, because there’s nobody around and you can say what you want to and He doesn’t tell it on you. And said, “You listen to what I’m saying. You prove me now if I will not open the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing where there’s not room enough to contain it.”

He said, “You tell the people that cars don’t come out of heaven. Houses don’t come out of heaven. Furniture don’t come out of heaven. Money does not come out of heaven because all the silver and gold on the earth, I already own. You tell the people nothing of a material nature comes out of heaven.”

He says, “Here’s what I mean. I’ll pour you out a blessing where there’s not room enough to contain it. It’s ICI.” I said, “What is ICI?” He said, “It’s ideas, concepts, and insights.” Ideas, say it, concepts, insights. Ideas, concepts, insights. One more time. Ideas, concepts, insights. Say, ICI. Say it three more times. (Response) And what does it mean? (Ideas, concepts, and insights.)

He said, “Everything comes from an idea. You came from one,” He told me. “Everything that exists comes from an idea, even the idea I had of creation. Everything comes from an idea. And I will pour you out ideas from heaven.” Now who would like to have a batch from heaven? I’m talking about ideas out of heaven where they’re pure and undiluted. Glory to God! Can’t you feel that? He said, “I’ll pour you out ideas, concepts, and insights more than you can contain.”

Now I began to say to myself, “Now He’s talking! Now I’m understanding what He’s talking about, because I’ve never received anything from heaven but my salvation and answers to prayers, never received a new car, a new house, an old house, clothes, never received anything of material nature dropped out of heaven on a parachute or anything else.

But I’ve had ideas. This university was an idea. My healing ministry was an idea. My wife was an idea. My children were ideas. Of course, that had to be followed through. (Laughter) And I did have an interest in the process. Well, you all are talking plain to me. I can tell it. I can feel it. You’re very plain with me. Especially Joyce. She’s plainer than anybody I ever heard. I’m learning. I’m learning every day to be more plain.

God brings us to the greatest moment of our existence by Richard Roberts

And they look around and see that flooding river, and the quivering starts in their stomach. And they feel the fear grab their spirit, and it’s a terrible moment in the midst of a moment that’s the greatest moment of their lives. And that’s where we are at times when God brings us to the greatest moment of our existence, to the moment when we are about to possess the very thing that God has planned personally for us. Then there’s a flood. There’s a flood of evil. There’s a flood that rises up to make it impossible for us to receive what God has for us or to get into the position that God planned for us before we were born.

And it’s a terrible moment. And the whole burden now is upon Moses’ shoulders, who says, “I am not able to carry you alone any further. You’ve got to get over on God’s shoulders.”

Meanwhile, he had been preparing and training young Joshua as his protege to take over after he was gone because he was now 120. His natural strength was unabated, his eyes undimmed, and he was ready to die at 120. And God was to bury him at a place where no one would know. And he’s responsible to God and to these people, and he is to say the words of the Lord that they will listen to. And the spirit of prophecy comes upon him, and he gives them the thousand times blessing.

He goes back from the law of Moses. He goes back century after century. He goes back to the faith of that man that left his people, the faith of that man, Abram, that God found with that faith and said, “With this faith, I’m going to build my kingdom upon the earth.” He goes back to that faith, and he gives a prophetic utterance that in the midst of this moment when you’re scared to death to put your feet into that flooding Jordan River and to go over and possess your land, “In this moment, I want you to hear me tell you what God told me to tell you. God is going to make you a thousand times more than you are. Let old Jordan flood all it wants to, let the mountains scream at you,let the Promised Land seem a million miles away. God’s going to reach down His mighty hand and He’s going to make you a thousand times more than you are. God is going to enlarge your mind. God is going to give you the power that when you take the ark of the covenant and the priest step their feet into the water, He’s going to roll that flood up the stream for miles and miles until there’s a heap of it. And the rest of it is going to flow down to the Salt Sea. And He’s going to dry up the bed of the Jordan River, and you’re going to walk over dryshod. You’re going to have it a thousand times more than have.” (Applause)

A little piece in a vision by Richard Roberts

But you know what God is showing me what’s happening? We’re beginning—I didn’t put eggs in here just so you and I could party up here, Billye.

Now I want you to do something for me with just this piece right there.

BILLYE: Oh, boy!

LR: Oh, holy cow, we’re all cookie dough.

BILLYE: Wonderful.

LR: Isn’t that wonderful? You see, when you begin to stir it up, all the gifts are in place. But there’s a little piece over here, and then God gives you a little piece in a vision over here. And He gives you a little bit of anointing in this area. And then He tells you, Billy Joe, go build a school, and then out of the school do this in the church. And all of it looks ridiculous, until you begin to stir it up. And you stir it up and you stir it up.

And, you know, the one thing about stirring it up is, it takes an enormous amount of work. It takes effort. It takes work. It takes effort. It takes work. But, boy, you start stirring it—you want another one? I do. And when you start stirring it up, suddenly you don’t notice the salt by itself, and you don’t notice the flour by itself—except that on your face—and you don’t notice the baking soda by itself.

Suddenly it all starts coming together, because it all went into the right container. Sometimes we separate our gifts, and sometimes we separate our anointing. And God is saying, “Would you in the body of Christ stop it and get into one container, in one accord, and start stirring up the gifts together.” And when you do, we’re going to see the Lord of the harvest.

Thank you, my dear. Do you want to take the bowl? We’ll save it. We’ll have a party after-wards.

Now here’s what I want to do. I want to think about what Oral said about the Lord of the harv-est. Now I know you’re tired, I’m tired. It’s late. I’m hot. I really want a Starbucks, and I really want that chocolate chip cookie dough.

But just before we get there, I would like you to take your corporate and individual gifts and begin to stir them up in this room, because there’s people in here that need a harvest. There’s people in here that if they don’t get an answer by morning—when I went to Margaret Idahosa, I had one thing and one thing on my mind and that was stay in Nigeria and dying there.

People of Substance by Richard Roberts

“Immediately he excused himself, and he went back to his car and called his supervisor. He told the supervisor, ‘I know we are supposed to enforce the law, but I also know that important people are given certain courtesies. And I need to know what I should do because I’ve stopped a very important person.’

“So the supervisor asked, ‘Well, is it the governor?’

“‘No. He’s more important than that.’

“He said, ‘Is he the President?’

“He said, ‘No, no, no. He’s more important than that.’

“The supervisor finally said, ‘Well, who is he?’

“And the young trooper said, ‘I think it’s Jesus because he’s got Billy Graham as a chauffeur.’”

Be careful who you hang with. You are known by the company that you keep.

Now I want to introduce you to a friend of mine whose name is Larry the cucumber. How many of you know Larry the cucumber? Well, this was all Billy Joe’s fault because Billy Joe invited Richard Roberts to preach. Now, Richard, honey, I think you may know where this story is going. So you’ve got one of two choices. Either you can tell it, or I can. I guess that means I can.

Well, there is a story that Larry the cucumber tells. You guys up in the audio booth, could you possibly play what Larry the—now I want you to know that Larry the cucumber really sings this, and he sings—if we could hit it, maestro. (Singing “Oh, where is my hairbrush?”)

Now that may not mean a whole lot to you, unless your name is Richard Roberts. So here’s my husband Richard getting ready to preach for Billy Joe Daugherty, and the anointing had not yet arrived.

So Richard is standing in the bathroom, screaming at the top of his lungs. And you’ve got to know he’s left-handed, so he’s very emotional before he preaches. And he’s also very theatrical before he preaches.

And he was doing this, “Lindsay!” So I came running up, thinking someone had died. And he’s doing this in my face.

And, Billy, you have to see him. You’ve got to get a visual of Mr. Richard Roberts in his bath-robe. And, first, I have to tell this. I have to qualify it. He did not do this to himself, but being such a good dad that he is, my daughters wanted to try out that product on television called Nad. It’s a hair removal thing.

Giving and Receipting by Richard Roberts

CHARLES GREEN: Oh, my, my, my, my. If I were about seven feet tall, I would have more to comment on that.

How many of you have read, I think it might be the last book that he’s written, I don’t know, but it’s among the last, the book by Oral Roberts, the subject of Giving and Receipting? If you’ve read that book, raise your hand, raise your hand.

All right, I want to tell you a little bit about that book. About two and a half years ago, I guess it was, Barbara and I were out in California. And Oral had had a procedure at the hospital, and then he had come home, and we were there at the house.

And we talked for a while, and I said, “Well, we’d better be going, Oral. You’re going to be tired.”

And Evelyn said to us, she said, “Oral is writing again.”

And I said to him, “You really are?”

He said, “Yeah.”

I said, “What are you writing about?”

He said, “Would you like to hear the first chapter?”

And I said, “Absolutely I would.”

So Evelyn goes and gets the first chapter of Giving and Receipting, and she sits there and reads the chapter for Barbara and me.

Now I want to ask you something. How much better can it get than that, you know? The guy that wrote it is there, and here’s the great woman of God reading it to us.

But there’s a story in there that’s worth so much money that I want to get that book to you. I just asked Richard, “Do we have any of these books?”

He said, “They’re not here tonight, but they’re in the warehouse.”

I said, “Do you have plenty of them?”

He said, “Yes.”

And what I’m going to ask you to do, I’m going to ask you to give ORU a very special offering tonight. I’m going to tell you the amount in just a moment. And if it’s cash, put your name to the money, okay? If it’s a check, down below, put Giving and Receipting. They’re going to send you that book.

And I’m going to guarantee you that if you will read that book and get the one dramatic story that a banker president, a bank president in Tulsa, Oklahoma told Oral Roberts, if you will just read that one story and let it begin to work in you, that story and just the beginning of that book will be worth thousands and thousands of dollars to you.

The power of the gospel by Richard Roberts

John was very certain about Messiah while he was baptizing at Jordan. But when he was in prison, he wasn’t quite that certain anymore. He sent his disciples to Jesus, and they said, “John wants to know something. Are you the one that should come, or do we look for another?”

I want to ask you a question, are you willing to walk out of here tonight and tomorrow with some kind of gospel that has no power in it, or do you want the real thing? You want the real thing?

All right, let’s listen to what Jesus said. He said, “You go tell John, tell him that the blind see. Tell him that the lame walk. Tell him that the lepers are cleansed. Tell him that the deaf hear, and tell him that the dead are raised, and the gospel is being preached to the poor.”

Don’t try to classify the poor. Every human being on the face of the earth is poor until the day they hear and believe the gospel. (Applause)

But right now in your mouth, if you will believe it, is the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Let me ask you a question, name the five things that the gospel of Jesus Christ will do if you declare it. Jesus did these things. He said what? “The blind will see.” He said, “The lame will walk.” He said, “The lepers will be cleansed.” He said, “The deaf will hear, and the dead will be raised.” That is the description of the gospel of Jesus Christ that Paul said, “I believe.”

Tonight I want you to raise only your right hand. I was going to be a lawyer before I became a preacher. I want to ask you a question. Do you promise to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about what I’m going to say? Do you promise to do that? Amen?

I want you to repeat after me. I believe in the power of the gospel. I believe the gospel is in my mouth. I believe the gospel is in my life. When I leave the Mabee Center tonight, when I leave this conference tomorrow, I’m taking with me the power of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Christ is the very image of God’s substance by Richard Roberts

Then if you jump to Hebrews 1:3, it says, “Christ is the very image of God’s substance.”

You know, when you think about the word substance, you think about something that is tangible and is touchable. But unfortunately, according to Hebrews, it’s something that’s tangible and touchable, but you can’t see it.

So when it’s something that you can’t see but it’s touchable, what in the wide world is it?

Well, here is a dictionary, as well as the scriptural, definitions of the word substance. Divine essence of God, giving tangible divine substance too. Faith is—now we took all the different words for substance of this translation, and this is what it actually translates: Faith is the tangi-ble, divine confidence and assurance and the essence of God himself for the thing that you have hoped for, even though you do not yet have evidence of seeing it. What does that mean? It means that there is a tangible, touchable essence that is not you.

The one thing that Oral kept trying to tell me about the word substance is that you’ve got to go from the natural and see where it originally came from, and that’s the spiritual, the supernatur-al.

Anything that you see on this earth, God first spoke it into existence. He said that He made every good and perfect gift, that it came from God. He said He put all the gold and silver into the earth, and He told us to subdue it, or take control of it.

He said that He looked at this earth, and when He wanted to create it, He simply spoke it into existence. You know, we have that little song that says, “Let there be light.” No, that’s not what it says. God spoke, “Light be,” and light was.

There is something within the essence and power of God that when He speaks it out of His su-pernatural, it comes to pass in the flesh. He even told us that that’s how we are to live and that’s how we are to exist, that we call things that be not as though it already was.

God’s vision for all of His people by Richard Roberts

BJD: You know, this is a place of miracles. ORU was birthed in that. ICBM is in the same vein. This is your time for miracles. There are going to be miracles of healing in your life. We’re not going to wait till the end of the week. Tonight is your night for miracles.

We have been praying for you. The very heart and core of our board meeting was about you. We all prayed, everybody was lifting you up in prayer. Have you already felt lifted up since you’ve come? That prayer is coming to you.

God’s vision for all of His people, He said, “I know the dreams and the plans that I have for you, and they are plans for good and not for evil.”

Your best days are ahead of you, and God has called ICBM to help equip you, strengthen you, uplift you, fill you with holy glory and strength. You will go back changed forever. And what you’ve experienced here, you will impart to others.

Lift your hands up with me right now. Lord, we thank You for an impartation of divine grace, supernatural glory filling every life, chains of bondage being broken. Lord, miracles of restora-tion being released, miracles of deliverance, healing and wholeness.

Lord, we agree for problems back home to be solved while people are worshipping You right here. Lord, I thank You for a new shout of joy being released, an uncontainable, Holy Ghost re-lease of divine joy. I think it’s time to jump up and shout a little bit right now. Just release His joy in your life. Fresh joy.

RR: Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! God bless you. Jeannie Mayo is one of the newer Trus-tees of ICBM. Jeannie, what are you sensing? Your denomination, you minister probably to as many or more kids than anyone in all the Assemblies of God. What are you sensing in your spi-rit?

JM: Can I tell what I sensed when I woke up this morning?

RR: Sure.

JM: I’ve been a youth minister for nearly four decades. I don’t look that old, do I? Say no. That was a little weak, sports fans. Okay. You know, my husband, he’s amazing, and he’s been a se-nior pastor for way longer than that.

And so every once in a while I’ll try to poke my head out into adult ministry, and it’s so depress-ing. I run back to the youth ministry. You can laugh over that. Come on, I’m kidding you.

Who is this Fourth Man? by Richard Roberts

Do you spend more money on Disney movies than you put in the offering? And do you tolerate that in your church because if you preached on that they’d think you were ugly? 1951 Oral Roberts wrote a book called The Fourth Man, and in one chapter he wrote a couple of pages. Now out of the whole book it only took two pages to write this, so basically people didn’t get it. We missed it. He preached it. We liked it. He yelled it. He shouted it. He had a lot of exuberance. And so we loved it, and we shouted hallelujah, but we didn’t live it one day. Oh, what he preaches that Fourth Man, when he swings his coat and he whips that old microphone around and his hair starts to hanging in the middle of his face, oh, does he look good! And we get excited, and we get exuberant, and we think, “Preach it, baby!” and he does, and we don’t listen.

So I wrote it down. He said, “Who is this Fourth Man? Who is the Fourth Man in the middle of the fiery furnace that delivered the children of Israel, that delivered the Hebrew children, that delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that delivers you, that delivers me, that goes all the way back to when he literally sat at the hand of the Father.” And God said, “They’re not getting it. Get down there, buddy.”

Who is the Fourth Man that jumped in the middle of the fiery furnace? Is He anybody we know? Is He anybody we fellowship with? Do we talk more on our cell phone than we talk to the Fourth Man? Have you paid more to AT&T than you paid in your tithe? Who is the Fourth Man?

Listen to the words, just listen to the words, because if these words are not enough to get you saved and healed and delivered and set free, then quit the ministry. He said, “In Genesis He’s the seed of the woman. In Exodus He’s the Passover Lamb. In Leviticus He’s the high priest. In Numbers He’s a pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night. In Deuteronomy He’s the prophet like unto Moses. In Joshua He’s the captain of our salvation.” Whoo, that’s enough right there! But I’m only getting started.
