And I prayed for an impartation of God in their lives.  I prayed that when they stood to preach in their church, they would be like men and women on fire for God.  Thank God for the church.  Tonight I want to speak to you on the subject, “I’m Glad I Went to Church.”

The Bible says, “I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.”  What is the church?  The church is the body of Christ.  The church is not bricks and stone.  The church is people, born-again, blood-washed believers.

The church is not a building that you go into.  You who love Jesus, you who have committed your life to Him, you are the church.  I am the church.  All of us who have believed on the Lord Jesus Christ are the church.  The church is not built with hands.  The church is built with lives.

One day Jesus and His disciples were walking along together.  And Jesus asked a question, “Who do men say that I am?”

One disciple said, “They’re calling you John the Baptist, another says you’re Elijah, while others say you are Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”

And Jesus listened to them describe what the people in the streets were saying.  Then He asked them another question, “Who do you say that I am?”

And Peter, who was full of holy boldness, stood before his eleven other co-disciples, and he said, “You are the Christ, you are the Son of the living God.”

And Jesus said to Peter, “Flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father in heaven has revealed this to you.  And upon this rock of revelation, I will build my church, upon the knowledge of who I am.”

I want to announce to you tonight that I am serving the Lord Jesus Christ.  I am not ashamed of it.  The Bible says that Jesus is the Son of God.  And He laid down His life that you and I might have life.  For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

The Bible says that Jesus was born of a virgin and that He grew up to be a man.  And as He approached the age of 30, He entered His public ministry.  He preached and He taught and He healed.

RR: She’s walking without pain.  Hallelujah!  Dr. Ablorh.

DR. ABLORH: Dr. Roberts, for nine years this young man couldn’t walk.  For nine years he couldn’t play football.  He couldn’t run.  But today, do like this, do like this, do like that.  Nine years he couldn’t walk.  Walk, walk.  (Response)

RR: Nine years.  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Yes, Dr. Cordray.

DR. C: Dr. Roberts, this man could not walk for three years.  You have his cane.  He came up here, and now he’s walking.

RR: I have his cane.  Walk.  Hallelujah!  Let Niamey know, let Niger know, let the people know that God is a healing God, that what He did in Bible days, He’s still doing these days.  Hallelujah!

many of you tonight felt the power of God when I prayed?  If you felt the power of God when I prayed, then I want you to wave your hands.  If you felt God touch your body tonight, then wave your hands.  Hallelujah!

Yes, David.

DAVID:Richard, this lady’s been blind for three years, could not see out of both eyes.

RR:Can you see?

INT: Oh, yes, I can see now.

RR: She was blind?  How long?

INT:  Three years she can’t see.

RR: Three years she was blind.  Three years?

INT: I’m grateful.

RR: Can you see me?

INT: Yes, I can see you.

RR: Can you see me now?

INT: You are wearing a white shirt.

RR: What am I doing?  How many fingers?

INT: One.  Two.  Three.  Four.

RR:You can see?  Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  God heals blind eyes.  Thank the Lord.  Thank the Lord for His healing touch.  Lift your hands unto Him tonight.  Give Him praise.

Right now there’s an anointing for healing.  Lay your hand on yourself.  Wherever there’s pain in your body, lay your hand on yourself.

RR: Hallelujah!  Hallelujah!  Hello, my friends of Niger.  God bless you tonight.  I am so glad to see your smiling faces.  Hallelujah!  Lift your hands unto the Lord.  Give a wave offering.  Wave your hands to the Lord.  Give a wave offering.

Lord, we give You honor, and we give You praise, and we give You the glory, for we are not our own.  But we were bought with a price, and the price was the shed blood of Jesus.  And so we lift our hands, and we give praise unto the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Thank You, Jesus, for taking charge of this service tonight.  And may everything that I say and do bring honor and glory to Your name.  May the anointing of God fall upon me.  May I preach and teach with power tonight and with the authority of God.

Then, Lord, confirm Your Word with signs and wonders.  Tonight let the cripples walk, let the blind see, let the deaf hear.  What God did last night, He will do tonight.  Hallelujah!  I give You praise, Father, and I thank You and worship You tonight.

Now, satan, take your hands off this service.  Take your hands off the people.  Take your hands off of Niger.  Tonight I pray for this nation, this strategic desert nation.  I pray for your President.  I pray that God would strengthen him and give him godly wisdom in governing this beautiful land.

I pray for every minister of government, for each man and each woman who are serving this nation in the highest positions.  Bless them.  Prosper them.  Strengthen them, and give them godly wisdom that the people may rejoice and give honor and glory to God.  These things I ask and pray, not in my name, but in the name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.  Amen.  Give the Lord a shout of praise.  Hallelujah!

Suddenly I heard God say, “I’m healing someone’s eyes.”

I was telling one of our doctors this story.  And there was a woman in the back, and she had been blind in one eye for four years.  And before I knew what I had done, I spoke to the blindness.

And someone said, “What gives you the authority to speak to blindness?”

And I replied, “What gives the devil the right to put blindness on you in the first place?”

I spoke to the blindness, and I commanded it to go.  And the woman began to scream.  And her eye was opened, and she was healed.  I knew it, she knew it.  (Applause)  That crowd knew it.

Suddenly I heard the Lord say, “I’m healing someone’s ear.”  And there was a man who had been deaf for ten years.  And I heard myself rebuke deafness.  Then I heard a popping in my ear.  I did not realize that was the operation of the word of knowledge, that God was giving me a sign in my own ear, a popping, a snapping.  I could hear it popping and snapping.  And my ear closed up, and then my ear opened up.

And I heard my mouth say, “Someone who is deaf is being healed.”

And there was a man who was there with his whole family.  He had been deaf for ten years.  And when I said my ear popped, his ear popped.  And for the first time in ten years, he heard from that ear.  And God healed him.  (Applause)

That was the beginning.  That was the beginning.  And we knew that night that what we had prayed for, what we had confessed with our mouth was coming to pass.  That’s been more than 25 years ago.  Every place I have been on this earth since that night, God has performed miracles, signs, and wonders.  Not because of me, but because of Him.  I am not the healer.  He is.  I am an instrument.  God’s power flows through my hands, but not because of me.  It’s because of Him.

RR: And the tumor is gone?

LADY: Yes, it’s gone.

RR: Hallelujah!  Every head bowed.  What?  Wait, wait, wait.  She’s out of her wheelchair?  She’s out of her wheelchair.  She’s walked all the way from the back.

Every head bowed, every eye closed.  If you’re walking, stop, and give reverence to the Word of God.  Jesus said, “You must be born again.”  But Nicodemus did not understand what He meant.

“How can a man enter into his mother’s body a second time?” he asked.

But Jesus said, “You’re talking about flesh, and I’m talking about spirit.  You were born of your mother, but I’m talking about a new birth, the new birth of the Spirit.”

The Bible says that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.  Sure, we make mistakes.  Sometimes we even commit sin.  But a sinner is a person who’s made sin a way of life.  And unless you repent, you’ll lose your soul.

The Bible says, “If you confess your sins, he is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.”

Tonight is the night to give your heart to God.  Before we pray for Nigeria, I am beginning with you because you are Nigerian.  The miracle starts with you.  You don’t change a country; you get people changed, and people change countries.

So I want to pray for you tonight.  I’m asking every man and woman, you’ve heard me preach tonight, you’ve seen these miracles, and there’s still many others, and you want to give your heart to God and you want me to pray a sinner’s prayer with you tonight, if you’re sincere and if you want me to pray that prayer for you to give your heart to the Lord Jesus, if you do, then lift your hand unto Him now.

And there are hands going up everywhere.  If you want this prayer, lift your hand.  Now pray this out loud with me:  O God, be merciful to me a sinner.  Come into my heart and save me from sin.  Heal me, deliver me, and set me free.

I renounce the devil and all of his works.  And by my faith I receive the Lord Jesus as my Savior, as my Lord.  I reject satan, and I receive Jesus.  Forgive me, cleanse me, and make me new.  From this moment I will serve God with all my heart, all my mind, and all my strength.  I am born again, and I shall never be the same again.  I’ll be a witness of the Lord Jesus.

Now everyone standing, everyone standing, everyone stand up.  Lift your hands unto the Lord.  Heavenly Father, baptize them in the Holy Spirit, a mass baptism tonight.  Baptize every one of them in the Holy Spirit.  Pour out Your Spirit upon everyone tonight.

Lift your hands, and begin to pray unto the Lord right now.  (Tongues)  Lift your voice unto the Lord.  (Tongues)  Let this stadium fill with prayer and praise tonight.  (Tongues)  Lift your voice unto the Lord in prayer.  (Tongues)  Come on, lift your voice in prayer.  (Tongues)

Wave unto the Lord as you praise Him tonight.  Lift your voice.  Lift your voice.  Lift your voice in praise.  He lives.  He inhabits the praises of His people.  And, Father, we lift up Your name, for You’ve given us the name of Jesus.  And at that name, there are miracles.  There are healings.  There are deliverances in people’s lives.

And we thank You now, Lord, we thank You for this country, for the precious Nigerian people.  And we give You honor and glory as we prepare now to pray for the nation, in Jesus’ name.

MAN: Somebody shout hallelujah!  (Repeats)

We have that same right with Jesus.  We have the right to use His name.  He said, “Up until now you have not asked anything in my name.”  They had heard Him ask, but they had not asked.  He said, “Ask, that your joy may be full.  Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.”

Not long afterwards Peter and John were on their way to church.  And there was a beggar at the gate of the temple.  And the man looked up, as if to receive money.  Many people had put money in his cup.  Money is wonderful, but that’s not what the man needed at that moment.  He needed healing.  How would that healing come?  It would come through the name of Jesus.

Peter said, “Look at us.  In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”  And he stretched out his hand and lifted the man up, and strength and healing came into his legs.  And he was healed.  And he began to leap and praise God and give glory unto the Lord.

Tonight I’m stretching out my hand.  I’m stretching out my faith, not in my name, not in my strength, but in the authority of the name of Jesus.  And I’m calling forth healing.  I’m calling forth miracles.  I’m calling forth victory, not in my name, but in Jesus’ name.  Someone shout hallelujah!

Sometime ago I conducted a crusade here in Nigeria in the city of Jos.  And something happened to me like what happened to Peter and John at the gate.  There was a young man who had never walked.  He was crippled in his legs, and he was carried each day to the post office where he begged for money.

I’ll never forget it.  Everyone in the city knew him.  Somebody carried him to the crusade.  And when I gave an invitation for salvation, he responded.  Then I began to pray like I’m going to do in a few minutes.  And when I prayed, I took hold of sickness with my hand and I began to call it out in Jesus’ name.  And I spoke to crippled legs, and I spoke to blindness, and I spoke to bodies that were sick.  And as I did, miracles began to happen.

If you can tell a difference, begin to come forward now.  Every pain in the back, come out now, in Jesus’ name.  Every pain in every shoulder, come out now, in the name of Jesus.  Every pain in the neck, in Jesus’ name, come out.

Now bend your back.  Lift your shoulders.  Move your neck.  People are being healed all throughout Liberty Stadium right now.  People are being healed on my left, people are being healed on my right, people are being healed behind me.  If you can tell your back is healed, begin to come to the platform.  If you can tell your shoulder’s healed, begin to come to the platform.  If you can tell your neck is being healed, begin to come.  Begin to come.  Begin to come.

Put your hand on your chest.  Anyone with breathing problems?  Tonight is a night to get your lungs healed.  Last night there were many lung healings.  And what God did last night, He can do tonight.

In the name of Jesus, I speak to your lungs.  Lungs, open up.  Lungs, breathe.  I take hold of your lungs and pull out the problem, in the name of Jesus.  Now begin to breathe deeply.  You who’ve just been breathing off the top, breathe all the way in.  Breathe all the way out.  Breathe all the way in.  Breathe all the way out.

Someone’s being healed in your lungs.  If your breathing is better, come to the platform.  Come give a testimony.  Examine your breathing.  See what God is doing.

RR: Hello, everyone.  Are you here?  Stand with me, please.  Let’s just lift our hands for a moment and give praise and honor and glory to God.  Lift your hands unto the Lord.  Everybody lift your hands.

Father, we give You honor and we give You glory in this place.  Thank You, Lord, for this wonderful, wonderful ministry.  Thank You, Father, for the founding family of this ministry.  Thank You, Father, that it is built on the preaching, teaching, healing ministry of Jesus Christ.

Thank You, Lord, that demons are trembling tonight because they know miracles are going to be done in this place.  And, Father, we give You honor and glory.

And, satan, you take your hands off God’s property tonight.  We do not belong to you.  We belong to God.  We were paid for by the shed blood of Jesus.  And so tonight we decide to glory You, Father, in every area of our lives, our minds, our bodies, our families, our marriages, our businesses, our ministries, in every area of our lives, in the authority of Jesus’ name.

Satan, you can’t have us.  And, Father, we submit ourselves afresh and anew into Your hands, and we thank You and praise You, in Jesus’ mighty name.  And everybody said amen and amen.  Give a handclap unto the Lord tonight.  God bless each and every one of you.  Thank you so much.  You can be seated.

Pastor, thank you for this opportunity.  I noticed on the screen it said that Calvary is a place of healing and restoration.  I didn’t have a sermon title until I saw that.  And I thought, Well, that’s what I should start with.  I should start about some models of healing.  Turn to the person next to you and say, “Tonight we’re going to get some models for healing.”  Turn to them and say that, models for healing.

And what God did for Isaac, He will do for you and me if we will put Him to the test and discard what we are hearing from all the different sources.  You know, I don’t bury my head in the sand like an ostrich.  I’m aware of what’s going on.  I read the newspapers.  I see what’s going on on the television news.  I’m not saying these things aren’t happening.  I’m not that type of person who says, “Well, I just say that isn’t even happening out there.”  No, it is happening.

Isaac didn’t deny there was a recession.  He didn’t deny.  In fact, in the middle of it he planted, knowing full well there was a recession going on.

Now here’s what the Lord has laid on my heart tonight.  He said three things to me, and I wrote them down on a little sheet of paper in my hotel.  Number one, you must sow and you must sow first.

All right now, what’s our model?  John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

God gave, and He gave first and He gave His best.  He didn’t give His worst; He gave His best.  He could have sent a legion of angels, but He didn’t.  He sent His Son.  He had only one Son, and He gave Him.  He gave, and He gave first.

Yes, there may be troubling times coming in the White House, in any house in America.  There may be troubling times coming in the economy.  We may very well be looking in the future $5-a-gallon gasoline.  I don’t know.  I don’t know that.

But I do know that we can begin to sow.  Instead of hoarding, instead of holding on, we can sow.  God gave, and He gave first.  You’re going to have to sow, and you’re going to have to sow first.  And you’re going to have to trust God.

RR: No, I didn’t know that part of it.  John Ashcroft is a great man of God.  Some years ago we honored him with an honorary doctorate, a tremendous man of God.

And I tell you something else that I remember about you.  See if you remember this.  Lindsay and I were going to conduct a crusade in Guatemala City, and you came down and graciously hosted our program for a week.

RON: It was my honor.

RR: You came for a week and hosted our program so we could have that crusade in Guatemala.

RON: And it was great.

RR: And I’m going back to Central America this summer to El Salvador by the invitation of the President of the nation for another tremendous crusade.

RON: Richard, I don’t want to take much more time.  I wish I could visit with you a lot more because I love you so much, you and your precious wife and family.  But I know God has something very hot on your heart.  And you’ve told us all that you have something very special on your heart.

RR: Yes, He does have something that He put on my heart.  But I want to say something first to you and to Norma and all of the Cornerstone family.  First of all, I want everyone to know how I feel about you.  I want you to know how much I appreciate Cornerstone and its outreach.

Wherever I go, wherever Cornerstone is aired, I hear from people who say, “I see you.  I see The Hour of Healing on Cornerstone.”  And I want you to know how grateful I am for the privilege of being on Cornerstone each night.  Thank you so very much for being my friend.
