Who is this Fourth Man? by Richard Roberts
Feb 16th
Do you spend more money on Disney movies than you put in the offering? And do you tolerate that in your church because if you preached on that they’d think you were ugly? 1951 Oral Roberts wrote a book called The Fourth Man, and in one chapter he wrote a couple of pages. Now out of the whole book it only took two pages to write this, so basically people didn’t get it. We missed it. He preached it. We liked it. He yelled it. He shouted it. He had a lot of exuberance. And so we loved it, and we shouted hallelujah, but we didn’t live it one day. Oh, what he preaches that Fourth Man, when he swings his coat and he whips that old microphone around and his hair starts to hanging in the middle of his face, oh, does he look good! And we get excited, and we get exuberant, and we think, “Preach it, baby!” and he does, and we don’t listen.
So I wrote it down. He said, “Who is this Fourth Man? Who is the Fourth Man in the middle of the fiery furnace that delivered the children of Israel, that delivered the Hebrew children, that delivered Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that delivers you, that delivers me, that goes all the way back to when he literally sat at the hand of the Father.” And God said, “They’re not getting it. Get down there, buddy.”
Who is the Fourth Man that jumped in the middle of the fiery furnace? Is He anybody we know? Is He anybody we fellowship with? Do we talk more on our cell phone than we talk to the Fourth Man? Have you paid more to AT&T than you paid in your tithe? Who is the Fourth Man?
Listen to the words, just listen to the words, because if these words are not enough to get you saved and healed and delivered and set free, then quit the ministry. He said, “In Genesis He’s the seed of the woman. In Exodus He’s the Passover Lamb. In Leviticus He’s the high priest. In Numbers He’s a pillar of cloud by day, and the pillar of fire by night. In Deuteronomy He’s the prophet like unto Moses. In Joshua He’s the captain of our salvation.” Whoo, that’s enough right there! But I’m only getting started.
God is a good God by Richard Roberts

BRENDA: $35.
LR: $35. Don’t tell me that we can’t live like the child of the King without having to pay $2,500 for the pair of shoes I’ve got on my feet.
Now let me tell you something, God promised that we should be stewards of His money, good stewards. But it didn’t mean we had to go poor and we didn’t have to be broke and we didn’t have to do without, coveting the things of the world.
But, you see, let me tell you something about Jezebel. Jezebel convinces you that there will never be enough money. You poor dumb preacher. And you know what? We live like it. We’re supposed to be poor and humble. If God keeps us humble, Oral always says, preachers will keep you poor. That’s not the Bible. That is not the Bible.
Until he had the guts in 1947 to stand up and say, “God is a good God and that God wants you to prosper.” He read III John 2, and they called him a heretic, “Beloved, I wish above all things that you prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospers.” They called it “the seed and greed? Gospel. They called it “the need and greed Gospel.” They called it the “blab and grab-it Gospel.” You can name it, and I can tell you what they said about it.
But I can tell you this, III John 2 says, “Above all things, I wish that you prosper and be in health.” And yet we stood up for the sickest, poorest bunch on the face of the earth. We’ve got it backwards, and it’s time for us to flip the coin to the other side. It’s time that we’re no longer the tail but the head.
And it’s time we recognized that the spirit of Jezebel is a spirit of rebellion that has taught us to buy the lie. We buy the lie in the church, and God is sick of it, to the point where He wants to vomit us out of His mouth. And it’s time that we say, “Stop it, that’s enough! We’re not going to buy the lie anymore. We are the head and not the tail. We are above and not beneath. My God shall supply all our needs according to His riches in glory.” And if that makes the devil mad, so what? Because I tell you something, the people who are saying it are also the people who are selling this garbage to our generation and killing our kids.
Only God himself can reveal to us by Richard Roberts
Feb 3rd
How many of you have had an honest picture that Jezebel was a woman in your church, with a short skirt, long red fingernails, and running after your husband? How many of you when I said the name Jezebel and the word woman, you pictured one immediately, came right to your mind, right? How many of you know that the Bible clearly says that satan comes as a wolf in sheep’s clothing? So many times we’re looking for the wolf in wolf’s clothing that we don’t recognize that we missed it, and yet we should be looking for the wolf in sheep’s clothing. And only God himself can reveal to us who it is.
If you look in I Kings 16:30-33, it says, “Now Ahab the son of Omri?-let me take my glasses off-?did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all who were before him.” I’m in I Kings 16:30-33. “Ahab did evil in the sight of the Lord more than all who were before him. And it came to pass, as though it had been a trivial thing for him to walk in the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, that he took his wife Jezebel the daughter of Ethbaal king of the Zidonians?-or Tyre and Sidon, the Lebanese area, Lebanon, that area. So I can preach this message because as you know, my father was 100 percent Lebanese, so I’m talking about myself here. No, I’m not referring to myself as a spirit of Jezebel because Jezebel is not a he or a she. It is a spirit. It is not a part of a person or a heritage. We just read about her first of all in the Bible in this reference.
It says, “He went up and he served Baal, and he worshipped him. Then he set up an altar for Baal in the temple of Baal, which he had built in Samaria. And Ahab made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke?-oh, my word-I’m reading it. “Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him.” How many of you know that he made God mad? The Bible doesn’t say that God never angered. It says that He is slow to anger.
In Frances Frangipane’s book on Jezebel, it says, “The first mention of Jezebel is seen in the rebellious, manipulative wife of King Ahab. It was actually this spirit operating through Queen Jezebel which had caused over ten million Hebrews, ten million Hebrews, all but seven thousand faithful souls, to bow to Baal.” One woman with this evil spirit caused ten million of God’s children to bow to this evil Baal. Can you imagine that? Can you imagine that one woman-never underestimate the power of a woman.
The kingdom of God is as a seed by Richard Roberts

And the Lord said, “I have their answer.” And I thought, “Okay, this is going to be good.” And I went up and I looked at Matthew 6, and it says, “Therefore, I say unto you?-6:25 it says” not to worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you shall put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing.” Then He said, “Look at the birds of the air. Look at the trees. Look at this. Look how perfectly I clothed the lilies of the field.” Even Solomon, who was by standard about as rich as you can get in the whole universe, “Even Solomon in all of his splendor and arrayed in all of his splendor could not touch how perfectly I clothed and fed the lilies of the field.”
And I began to think about that, because single moms who are out, in a sense, being pulled away from their family, being pulled away from their children, and in some cases being literally pulled away from their sanity because they’re so tired, are doing it for one reason, food and clothing. They’ve got to put food on the table, and they’ve got to feed and clothe and take care of their children.
RR: Or grandchildren.
LR: Or grandchildren. Many cases in our society, grandchildren. And the Lord said, “Don’t worry about your life. Don’t worry about food and clothing.” Wait a minute. Here are these people who are ninety-eight percent of the body of Christ in some form of poverty
RR: No, debt, debt.
LR: Or debt. Well, to me debt is a form of poverty. And God is saying, “Don’t worry about it.” Well, how can you not worry about it? And He said, “Because I have already taken care of it. If you seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” which means if you seek first the kingdom of God, which is as a seed, the Bible says, the kingdom of God is as a seed. That’s what the Bible calls it.
And then He went on to say, “If you seek first the kingdom of God and His way of doing things.” That’s what the word “and His righteousness” translates. “If you seek first the kingdom of God, which is as a seed, and His way of doing things,” which is seedtime and harvest. He said, “As long as the earth remains?
RR: All through the Bible.
LR: “If you will seek first the kingdom of God and do it His way, seedtime and harvest, all of these things shall be added unto you,” food, clothing, whatever it is you have need of.
The only way I can see for these women, for single moms, for anybody who is operating in debt, to break the spirit of that bondage is by seedtime and harvest. And this shows that you wouldn’t even have to worry about food or clothing if you’ll seek first God’s way of doing things, which is seedtime and harvest.
God knows. You have to trust God. by Richard Roberts

RR: “Rise up your students to hear my voice,” He said, “and to go.”
BS: But I think the key here is to say, “God, I’m going to ask you for a breakthrough in this area,” or whatever area you’re looking at. And I’m telling you right now, I see a businessman, in fact, a car dealer, kind of in the South, east of the United States, a car dealer and his wife watching right now, struggling. Get some money out of the bank and bring it by, write a check and send it. God said, “Prove me now, saith God.”
You know, Richard, forty-three years in business, every time things were a little tight, do you know what I would do? Write an offering. When we came out here and wrote you that check for $100,000, all kinds of good things happened. And I gave a car away to a certain friend of mine. All good things happened that week, you know, a certain guy that you know very well. And good things start to happen, you know.
And you’ve got to let go, folks. You’ve got to let go. I know it’s tough for you to let go, but, you know, you say, “I’m going to pledge $2,000 tonight.” Do it. You say, “Well, I don’t know where I’m going to get it.” God knows. You have to trust God.
RR: How many times, Lindsay, have you and I made a pledge and we didn’t have it, and yet as we made the commitment, God put the money-didn’t He say He would give seed to the sower?
BS: Seed to the sower and bread to the eater. LR: That’s right. Ken Copeland said that he made his first pledge to Oral Roberts was $10, and he didn’t have it. And he went home and told Gloria, “I am going to be able to attach myself and get the same kind of anointing as Oral Roberts for $10 a month.” Because the Bible says when you sow into a prophet, you reap the prophet’s reward. You become in partnership with that prophet. Then you reap the prophet’s reward.
And Gloria was like, “That is lovely, Kenneth. Where in the world are we going to get $10?”
BS: Believing God.
LR: And do you know that Kenneth said before he left the meeting, he had the $10.
RR: You know what happened? He put a pencil-he pledged $10. He didn’t have $10. He put a pencil in the envelope, and before he could get it sealed, a person walked up to him and said, “I don’t know why I’m doing this, but I feel led of God to give you $10.” He said, “That’s God.” He took out the pencil, put the $10 in the envelope and gave it and went home and said, “I’m a partner with Oral Roberts.”
The Preacher by Richard Roberts
Dec 8th
I heard Mike Murdock say these years ago, and I can’t improve on it, so I’ll just borrow it. He said, “Every time an offering is received, it’s God giving you an opportunity to increase your income.” That’s the way we ought to view offerings.
LR: We have such a mentality backwards. You know, the Lord really spoke something to me the other day, and I wrote it down, and I have just been building on it because God said, “People have such a mentality when they sow seed that the preacher, the ministry, the this, the that, even the company, whatever it is, they’re just trying to get something from you.”
That’s man’s mentality which is, by the way, perverted. And man’s mentality is a broken mentality. The carnal mind is at enmity with God, and the carnal mind does not understand spiritual things.
So when you talk about that, when you say, “Oh, you’re just trying to get my money,” the Lord said, “Write this down. I am not trying to get something from you. I am trying to get something to you.”
JS: He’s setting you up for a harvest.
RR: Surely someone must have said something about the fact that Elijah asked a widow for the first portion of her very last meal. She said to him, “We have only enough oil in a cruise and meal in a barrel to cook one last meal, and then my son and I are going to die.”
The preacher, Elijah, comes to town and says, “Fine, give me the first part of it.” And someone, I’m certain, criticized that. Elijah wasn’t trying to take something for himself. He was giving her an opportunity to sow something as unto the Lord so the Lord could multiply it back to her.
Now the next time she went to cook, there was still meal in the barrel. There was still oil in the cruse. It’s estimated that she cooked another 1,000 meals out of the empty cruse of oil and out of the empty meal barrel because she obeyed the Lord. He wasn’t trying to get something from her. He was trying to get something to her.
JS: That’s right.
RR: To get something to her, to get a miracle to her.
JS: You know, there’s a principle in the Bible. When you need extraordinary results, you have to be willing to sow an extraordinary seed. If you need unusual, uncommon results. Look at the 10 lepers that shouted to Jesus, “Cleanse us!”
Preaching The Gospel of the Lord by Richard Roberts

RR: And she got me.
JS: Praise the Lord.
LR: You talk about hey!
RR: I was prepared in advance. welve years later we met.
LR: Twelve years later we met.
JS: That’s amazing. That’s a great story.
RR: Give us an update, Jerry. Tell us what’s happening with you and I know you’ve been all over the country. I know you.
JS: Oh, man. I have been all over the world. Since I saw you last, I have been in 15 different countries, some of them I’ve been 2 and 3 times each. In fact, just a few weeks ago American Airlines sent me a card that is called Executive Platinum, which means I have flown on American Airlines 2 million miles, just American Airlines alone, not including all the other airlines I fly around the world. But that just shows you how much traveling I’m doing around the world. God’s really put it in my heart.
And the heartbeat of our ministry is nations. I have a great desire to take the uncompromising word of faith to the nations of the world. I’m not through in America but, you know, we’ve got 9,000 preachers over here preaching it, and there are still countries that haven’t heard it the first time, still nations that are crying out for it. So that’s my heartbeat, and that’s what we’re doing.
RR: Thank God for it. Thank God especially for the work in Kenya, which I’m so familiar with, and other places in the world. I’m looking forward to preaching your Bible school graduation in a couple of months too.
JS: graduates students are so excited.
RR: so thrilled to do that.
JS: I’m honored and I’m excited about it. We’re going to have a good time.
RR: Would you share that word you told me about earlier about the percentage of your students and graduates who are on the field? That’s a blessing.
JS: We’re in our fifth year. This is our fifth year of existence of our School of World Evangelism, and recently I received this report from our dean that 62 percent of our graduates are in the field. They’re either working with ministries or they’ve established their own ministries, but 62 percent of them are out there preaching the Gospel.
RR: That’s the purpose. That’s your reason for being.
RR: You didn’t do that just having a school.
Turn to the Lord by Richard Roberts
Nov 17th
LR: Thank You, Jesus. He took the pain, the stripes, the sorrow, the sickness, the disease. Whatever it was, He took it. He paid the bill in advance. He did it.Two thousand years ago He already went through it, and now we can say, “Thank You, Jesus, it’s already paid. The debt has already been paid.” And we can just say, “Thank You, Jesus.”
RR: All right, here it is. Now this is I recorded my dad’s new song. My dad wrote a new song, “What’ll You Do?” You heard me just singing an excerpt from it. He wrote the words and he wrote the melody, and then I got the arrangement together and then I sang it.
Then in addition Lindsay had the idea of taking a message, a sermon that my dad preached on “The Goodness of God and the Badness of the Devil.” So on one side is my singing my dad’s song, and the other side has his sermon, his message for you. Lindsay, I believe it’s going to be a knockout in people’s hearts.
LR: Well, the song lets you know that there is somewhere you can turn. You hear it over and over and over and you get that in your spirit. You know, you hear a jingle or some kind of a song on television, and I don’t mean to plug something or not plug something, but you hear the words, “The best part of waking up,” and the next thing you know its coffee. You hear it because it’s gone over your head so many times.
When you hear “Turn to the Lord,” I think it leads you to get into a position. What am I going to do? Immediately your spirit man has heard that over and over, “Turn to the Lord.”
RR: And that’s been my father’s testimony all through these years. Every time he’s faced the attack of the devil, what has he done? He’s done just what he said in the song. He’s turned to the Lord.
LR: You know, one touch from God can forever change your life. One word from God can forever change your life. And it’s amazing. If you take the seed that’s planted, you can either reject it or you can take it in and just sit there and die on the vine, or you can grab it and run with it.
The Message of God by Richard Roberts
Nov 10th
Oral Roberts and my mother, Evelyn Roberts, are traveling across the country preaching. When they were in World Changer’s Church in Atlanta, Georgia, pastured by Creflo and Taffi Dollar, he preached the message about getting all of your needs met. He shared one of the most interesting things concerning breathing in and breathing out. That’s a part of this message, and that’s the part that you wanted people to see.
LR: Yes, it’s incredible. I believe that it is a word in season. The Bible talks about the men of Issachar were men who had an understanding of the sign of the times to know what Israel, or God’s children, ought to do. I believe Oral Roberts has a message in this that is a message for a sign of the times for God’s people to know what to do.
RR: So we’re going to go to Atlanta and see a portion of this, and then I believe God has something very special for people watching tonight about getting their needs met. So go with me to the Atlanta, Georgia area, and we’re being seen live tonight in Atlanta, to the World Changer’s Church, pastured by our good friend and regent of ORU, Creflo Dollar, as Oral Roberts is ministering.
OR: Probably the number one Scripture that is quoted in the world is John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever shall believe in him shall not perish, but has everlasting life.”
And the second most quoted verse in the Bible is Philippians 4:19, “For my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ.” And yet the people of God, to my knowledge, have never reached the place where all their needs are supplied.
Now God would not have said that He would supply all our needs according to His riches by Christ Jesus in glory unless He intended to do it. He wasn’t just saying a bunch of words. He wasn’t trying to make you feel better. He was dead serious because He had the will and He had the supply and the power to supply all not half, not ten percent, but a hundred percent of our needs, not according to man’s riches and abilities, but according to the riches of Christ in heaven.
See the Hands of God by Richard Roberts
Nov 3rd

TP: I’ve had somebody on my heart all day long, I’m sure many someone’s, where fear and worry are concerned. Worry is just the manifestation of fear. All through the Bible, God says, “Don’t fear, don’t fear, and don’t fear. Don’t be afraid. Don’t take thought about tomorrow.” And tomorrow is even five minutes from now is more into tomorrow. So I want to speak that to you. In the name of Jesus, I pray your release from worry in Jesus’ name.
Sometimes worry can actually be more the problem than the problem you’re worrying about. It will actually keep you from receiving from God and get in the way of His provision to you, whether it’s financial or relationship or your children, whatever you’re concerned and worried about.
So if you roll the care of it over on the Lord, trust God and get your eyes fixed upon the Word, allow that worry to be released from your life in Jesus’ name, then you can hear clearly from God and see the hand of God move in your life. Hallelujah! Thank You, Father.
RR: Lindsay.
LR: And we just thank God that He said life, life. That may be a new word to somebody. Maybe you’re in the pits of depression. I speak life into your brain cells, life into your body, and life into your flesh. The Bible says it quickens your mortal body. And the Bible also says I don’t have this scripture “The same spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives in you.” So we just tell that spirit in you to rise up to life in Jesus’ name.
RR: I set my faith in agreement with it now. One can put a thousand to flight; two can put ten thousand to flight. Look what we all can do. I agree with you and I agree with everyone who’s prayed tonight, in the name of Jesus. So begin to rise up on the inside and say what Jordan said, “I will not give up.” Say that out loud with me. I will not give up. One more time. I will not give up. Come on, give the Lord praise. Paige, come on over and ministry. “Wherever You Go.” Give her big God bless you as she sings.
LR: Yea, amen.
PAIGE WHITE: Singing “Wherever You Go.”
RR: Never too far, never too far. Ladies, you still have time to get to Lindsay’s conference starting tomorrow morning. Katie called from Claremore, a problem with her ear healed tonight through the operation of the word of knowledge. Lindsay, do you have other requests?
