The devil is not eternal like God is by Richard Roberts

Here’s what the devil’s trick was. When my shoulder didn’t heal and wouldn’t get well and the pain was so great I had to get on a pain medicine and the pain medicine had side effects and was almost worse than the pain. But when I left it off, I couldn’t get through in my prayers, except temporarily. And the pain was always hanging around.

And my heart at times would be irregular, and I would have to go to the emergency room. And I was facing things that many others have faced that I hadn’t had to face since I was 17 years old and had tuberculosis.
And here’s what the Lord revealed. “The devil is not eternal like God is. There are definite time limits on the devil. There’s an end to his being. And when he goes into the lake of fire, that’s the end of the devil.”

And the devil would come to me and say, “Your ministry’s over now. You’re going to have this pain in your shoulder the rest of your life. Your heart is going to be irregular the rest of your life.” And because I couldn’t get out of the house very much and having to stay there day after day and night after night, cooped up in ways that I had not been since I was 17 years of age with tuberculosis, there was a terrible experience in my life because my ministry seemed to be stopped. And the devil said, “You will never preach again. You will never travel again. You will never be in ministry again, and it’s there for the rest of your life.”

And when you’re in a period of trial, if your body is attacked, if you’re in pain or if you’re weak in your body, if problems have arisen to face you that you’re not handling and they don’t seem to go away and the devil begins to whisper, “You will have this problem the rest of your life,? then your attitude assumes a different posture. It’s not a usual posture. You begin to listen. You don’t mean to listen, but I began to listen to what the devil was saying.

And the next thing I knew, I felt death on my body. I have prayed for so many hundreds of thousands of people that I can feel death. If I’m praying for someone, usually I can pick up if the spirit of death is there, or if the spirit of death is not there. And I picked it up on myself.

The power of God by Richard Roberts

…SHOUTS… The charismatic movement involves you in singing in the Spirit, in praying in the Spirit, in praying for the sick, in signs and wonders, and in the power of God. The charismatic movement lifts you. You’re no longer a spectator. You’re part of it. …APPLAUSE…

Well, I’m going to drink to that. …LAUGHTER… I’m trying to get out of the first Psalm.

‚ÄúTherefore the ungodly shall not stand at the judgment.” Don’t kid yourself. “Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. The Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the ungodly shall perish.”

There’s a hell and there’s a heaven. I know there’s a new doctrine out now that you’re saved whether you know it or not. And if you die and don’t know it, like Hitler did, the Lord will take care of you because there’s no hell.

Let me tell you, Hitler knows there’s a hell. I’m against that. It’s not the Word of God. And if you hear it, turn it off. …APPLAUSE… And just pray for the dear brother whom we all love that he’ll come back and not go into a cult. Well, I’ve said all I’m going to say about that. And I’ll say that in love, because I do love him.

Now let’s skip over to Ephesians 6. Notice in the first Psalm that the word “blessed? …LAUGHTER… What did I say? Oh, I went back to the first Psalm. …LAUGHTER… You think that’s funny, don’t you, Richard? You don’t think that I’ve laughed at you a lot during your lifetime. …LAUGHTER…

Well, Dr. Charles Green, these sons that think they’re smarter than their dads, you know. I went back to Psalm 1 because I intended to. …LAUGHTER… Because you look in all the books of the Bible before it, and you won’t find one that starts off with “Blessed.”

God begins to show you there’s a godly and ungodly, and He goes through his son, Solomon, to Proverbs to show you it’s godly and ungodly, there’s heaven and there’s hell. And we’ve got to have that holiness and that righteousness. We’ve got to avoid the ungodly. We cannot do the bad things and say, “Oh, well, the Lord will take care of us.” No, sir, you take care of yourself. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly.” It didn’t say God not ____________ you; it’s me.

Now in Ephesians, chapter 6, Paul is writing from prison from one of his prison sentences. We don’t know which one. We do know from history that he died, was martyred around 64 years of age, and during the last 5 years of his life he was in several prisons. And in one of these he wrote the book of Ephesians.

And the righteousness of God by Richard Roberts

Now I want you to notice the first one that He used. “Having your loins girt about with truth.” And the righteousness of God covering your heart, your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Above all, taking the shield of faith wherewith you shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Put on the helmet of salvation. Take the sword of the spirit, which is the Word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit.

Most people stop with the seventh part of the armor, “Praying always with all prayer and supplication.” But that’s not where it ends-in the spirit. And in the Greek, it’s “in the spirit” or “with the spirit.”

The apostle Paul used “with the spirit” and “in the spirit.” He used both of them, and that is tongues. That is praying in tongues. And that’s the part that has been neglected by the organized church and which the Pentecostals helped restore to the body of Christ. And the church world owes the Pentecostal world a debt that has never been paid. But the Pentecostals themselves now need a new infusion of the charismatic power of God to bring them back up to where they were and to take them on to where they should be.

I hope you heard that. Now I just quoted to you the last part of my sermon. I’m going now to quote the first Psalm, which is the first part of my sermon. Blessed is the man that walketh not in the [advice or the] counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, not sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law [or the Word of God]; and in [it] he meditates day and night.” Not an hour or two a day or night, but periodically day and night of every day.

And he shall be like a tree. He shall be like a tree. He shall not be a tree; he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water. Not a tree growing in the wilderness or a wild tree, but a tree that is planted. Some divine force plants this person who is blessed not to take the advice of the ungodly, not to hinder sinners, not to be scorners and critics and miserable people, never happy about anything, but who delights themselves in God’s Word day and night.

God will see to it that His Word works in your life by Richard Roberts

HC: Richard, when the anointing is there, the Lord said it’s time to sow into the anointing. Don’t wait. Don’t wait. Sow into the anointing now. While the anointing is here, sow into it. That’s where you’re going to reap. That’s what Isaac did, and he reaped one hundredfold. So don’t wait. Whatever you have, sow into the anointing now.

RR: Vicki Jamison-Peterson, trustee of ICBM, I don’t know if you can make it up here, Vicki. What are you sensing in the Spirit?

VJP: My heart is so touched and so moved to see you coming and planting your seed, because every person who has passed me, I have thought, “Lord, they need a harvest. They need a harvest.” And we’ve come here to receive, not just a spiritual blessing. That would be enough.

But God wants us to go above and beyond and over into abundance. And He wants it for every person from every strata of society, every man, every woman, every boy, and every girl, every color. He wants to bless you. And if you will believe tonight what Brother Oral has preached, you will walk in abundance, I promise you. God will see to it that His Word works in your life. (Applause)

RR: Bishop J. C. Hash. Brother Mack Timberlake, Bishop Mack Timberlake, can you come up here a minute? What are you sensing in your spirit?

JC HASH: God’s glory is always in His presence. And when the Bible said, “Let the righteous be glad, let the righteous rejoice and be glad who favors his righteous call. For we believe with the heart, for with the heart we believe unto righteousness.” Righteousness is so much a part of God’s giving that when the righteous give, they step into the favor of God. And as a result of our giving tonight, we have tapped into His favor and we can expect the heavens to be opened unto us.

RR: Brother Timberlake.

MT: Well, the heavens are opened and there is a celebration of the move of God. And we as Christians will walk in such an excellence the world, the natural world celebrates excellence, and what we’re seeing now is God’s people moving in every level in such an excellence, until it is impossible to miss God and to see what He’s doing. Amen. (Applause)

RR: Brother Wally Hickey. Brother Wally, I see harvest time. What do you see?
